Quite honestly the statistical turn in baseball has ruined my long term enjoyment of the sport.
For baseball, it will never get any better than watching Barry Bonds hit from 2001-2005.

Something obviously changed from the days when Brady Anderson and Luis Gonzalez were hitting 50+.
I doubt they are completely gone and PED use is probably still rampant, but c'mon man...

No, i do not think the game is totally clean. However it may take scientists/doctors a bit to get the right mix to produce the results that made baseball fun and watchable. There are certain performance enhancers but if you are implying roids are anywhere near the level they were being used during that era you've drank too much eggnog.
