I had never heard of IU (aka Lee Ji-Eun) until recently when I watched the TV series My Mister in which she starred. Such a phenomenal actress. But then I heard her sing. Closest thing to angelic I've ever heard, I think. Now I get why she's such a superstar throughout Asia.
I got into a minor fight with some Koreans yesterday online when they said she was a global superstar and I said that's not possible without making it big in America -- just like The Beatles wouldn't have been The Beatles without conquering America. They thought I was being arrogant.
Anyway, she sang this studio version for her fans yesterday. I wish I knew what she was saying, but I guess that's my problem and not hers.
