I think the real explanation is that a member of Congress is treated like nobility in the days of old. The have a large staff of basically servants that are at their beck and call for everything from transportation, to meals, to lodging. The dems have an obsequious media to bow and flatter them. Oregon's senator Jeff Merkley and Washington senator Patty Murray aren't competent enough to teach fifth graders let alone be a US senator. The dementia patient is dumber than a bag of hammers and supposedly was in charge of the nation's credit card business as a man of the people from Delaware. In what private sector business can you go from being a bartender to being a CFO[/s] duly elected member of Congress running as a communist?
