Remember the Kenny Rogers Roaster restaurants? They were even featured on Seinfeld. They are defunct and long gone in the USA. But... they continue to thrive in Indonesia and Cambodia.

I'm surprised you're surprised; Asian people love fried chicken. Just ask Splooge (RIP).

In fact, there are more KFCs in China than in the US. Japan is third with almost 1,200 restaurants, and Malaysia and Indonesia are showing rapid growth, too.
