They aren't a winner until they win a Superbowl, but I see your point. Their storyline kind of sucked. Roster building is their storyline? Shouldn't their storyline be something along the lines of competing for a championship?

Then UW has only been a "winner" one time(Fuck you Turner 1960 doesn't count) if that is standard to be a "winner".

Agree with the storyline being stupid. Should have been Super Bowl related.
 
What's below may be intended as a joke. This is not. I've heard guys say, "I'll be happy with 8 - 4 and a bowl game." Notice winning the Septic Tank bowl was not really a requirement for being "happy."

For most people the Huskies "taking the next step" probably means going 8-5.
