I'm going to chime into the Podcast debate.

I enjoy the podcasts because I am a slut to anything Husky Football. I have a couple of suggestions and if you don't like, eat shit.

1) What the fuck with the artsy fartsy iPod car thing? At least the the husky helmet car had our colors dialed in, fuck.

2) Since most of us hate dawgman, can one of you tards bite the bullet and listen to dawgman weekly and do a podcast at least every other week.

I hate to listen to dawgman on KJR but I am a husky slut for anything and the past two weeks they had good guests...of course, every time I hear Kim's voice/laugh I want to choke him but I still listen because I love my team more than I hate Kim and the 3 stooges.

Between Jen Cohen and the three 2014 Washington recruits if you don't listen you aren't telling the truth. As much as I hate to support those fuckers please do a podcast each week to get the 25% of the good shit and then we can all laugh about the dumb fucks they are without giving KJR clicks for those bozos.

And did someone actually say the podcasts were more juvenile than this fucking board? I like this board but I would love to see this place evolve and grow the same as our team now that we have an adult in charge.
 
Passive aggressive and fucked up the facts. On a private message I said I had stopped listening to the podcasts because they seemed juvenile and I wasn't enjoying them. I later apologized for the poor choice of words that made me look like a hypocrite given the stoogish nature of our boards.

I never ever said they were more juvenile than our boards.

I have since listened to a couple of episodes and enjoyed the discussion.

I think what influenced my judgment was subconsciously comparing them to the HHB podcast. Not fair because those were at a supremely high level of dialogue.

I do agree that it would be great to see the level of discourse on this board increase. I think it will and I have plans to help make it happen.

Would you call it the Final Solution?

Its worth mentioning that the halfbrain inside jokes never got as played out as the HH jokes already have. I'm looking forward to this fall, and this board taking a step forward to be the place for husky talk. I think its time to let dawgman die with the memories of sark. But to do that this place needs to get a little more broadly accessible, and as much as we think we're above it all, we're already suffering from groupthink and asskissing (75k?)
 
I am rarely serious, as I am rarely lucid. But, in a small moment of serious lucidity, I must admit that I think this board will take a step forward come next season. We will then be the only genuine alternative to other dreck out there that allows you to let your hair down while also reveling in winning football, with no pedantic twat pimple moderation.

Good times.
 
This thread reminded me that I should donate to the cause, and so should all you fuckers.
 
@DerekJohnson‌ FYI I wasn't calling you out...fact is I don't have time to read 30% here but outside too many people bitching about the free beer podcasts I enjoy and would like more. I just started listening to the old HB podcasts. The word juvenile stuck with me as I had no idea where it came from and wanted to give the podcast guys some positive free pub.

I do agree with the group think and ass kissing comment. Just seems like 80% here like to bitch about anything without bringing much value about anything Husky related.

I absolutely hate when posters say I hate our fans, we are our fans morons.

This place is ok but if Bob hadn't left the ST husky blog I would have Zero reason to visit this place. It's easy to get sucked into the juvenile dialogue/group think here but this current model will die now that Sark is gone and we have a real coach.

Frankly it's time to be happy if you are a true dawg fan. I know I enjoyed lurking more than since I started posting but that's just me. Just my 2 cents.
 
there is no model. the boards are a reflection of what we're thinking. If the Huskies start the season 7-0, you don't think it will be happy times on here? Or do you think I will be banning and deleting everyone who isn't negative?

as far not calling me out: fair enough, sounds good.

Is that really a question? We have had the best off season in at least 13 years, Sark is gone, and we have a top 5 college coach with a brand new stadium and half the people here still find a reason to complain about something Husky related.

And no I don't think there is pleasing half the crowd here. I'm playing catch up here and on the HHB podcasts, just into the Sark hire on their podcasts. I actually enjoy @iDawg‌ and @RaceBannon‌ podcasts and hope they make a return as well as chest, road dog and little Jimmy but I think its clear why they are MIA here.
 
This dick wagging contest between hardcore husky and the podcast was stupid. Both are desperately needed in the pantheon of husky sports "coverage."

My only suggestion for the podcast is to (1) have a set release date each week instead of a random schedule, and (2) incorporate more posters from this board. It was fascinating to hear what passion sounds like, for example.

For this board, the cool kids should embrace the new guys and X's and O's talk more. There was a nice breakdown of the secondary the other day (yea, a little tl,dr) that was mostly met with jokes.

Oh ffs. I swear we have way more "can we actually talk about football" poasts than those same people attempting discussion.

Start a fucking thread about some sort of topic regarding the team you want to talk about it isn't that hard (and dont start it with some smartass comment about how this bored never actually talks about Xs and Os)

Or the all whiny drippy cunts can continue to post about how no one ever talks about football (which is completely false) instead of adding anything of substance to these so called football discussions.

that'd be great but I don't think their mom gives them access to the computer if they haven't finished their homework so really hard to "schedule" it. I know sometimes they seem to sneak out to the garage and record it in the car with a flashlight though.

I hope the level of discourse on this board does increase. I realize that for many thins is just a place where crude jokes and crotch grabbing antics can be practiced, but until that stuff tones down, this will not be a serious discussion board for Husky football. I know myself and a few others joined here over some issues at the other place, but I was really looking to join in on the kiddie stuff, I want Husty football talk. Anyway, that's my two cents worth. If money is the issue in bettering this place, just say the word and I'll send you another $25.
