There was an excellent segment on CNBC's Squak on the Street somewhere between 7 and 7:45 this morning. Ken Griffin (founder and CEO of Citadel) spoke about the capital markets, inflation, the fed and how it impacts us everywhere. He talked about AI and what it will do for productivity. He then brought in Eva Moskowitz (founder and CEO of Success Academy) and they talked about education. They both believe the goverenment is failing this country in education. They vaguely talked about politics and how they have failed in the big cities especially in education. I'd like to know more about both but I think I'd find, like so many I know, they are some of the dumbest, smartest people around. They lack social awareness (street smarts) and are consumed by what others around them think about them. Ken is a big fan of RDS which tells me he's s a fan of Bush and big governments. Both complain about the failings of government, will leave where it has failed the most (Chicago) but will take their intelligence and ignorance to a better city and destroy it because they care more about what others think and will vote for people and policies which continue to promote big government. They are too smart to learn. No wonder they both love AI.

Our so called elites just won't take it over the goal line. No red zone accountability. I think they might be book smart, but they aren't intellectually honest because that cost them status and money. We had the dazzler here a while ago defending the US public education system. They are street smart as long as the street is in Washington DC and not south of Richmond. They would put there eye out with a spoon before enthusiastically supporting banning of teacher unions, the elimination of the federal Department of Diseducation and private school vouchers.

I've met a lot of "big government" conservatives or moderates. Even some people reasonably up the ladder. They all inherently believe in the "goodness" of the people they work with, which largely, I can understand. They never seem to put it together that government is inherently flawed and central planning is systematically destined to fail.

Very much similar to the hippy left, "we just need to get OUR guys in there".

Good intentions paving the path to hell and all.

All the failures seem intentional. The destruction of education, open border, destruction of family, economy, energy policy, forced masking and vax….

Right, the thing is, they don’t.

Sometims I wish I had an ability to compartmentalize thinking the way you do.

Some might call that an inability of intellect, but still ...

It's a combination of Dunning-Kruger and cognitive dissonance

It's a plan.

I'm not totally there on the it's a plan part. I think it's morel likely that the incentives are just totally out of whack. There's no price for failure.

Never assume conspiracy when incompetence is the easier answer.

The globalists can't control the world while co-existing with a strong America.

What I still don't get is how someone who is opposed to the destruction of the fundamental building blocks of a strong America then votes for the destruction of those building blocks based on some twisted view of mean tweets.

The lgbtq indoctrination in public school is intentional and destroying basic reality. Birth rates are under replacement level. It’s intentional. Go into any box store and look at the employees. Dressed like they heading for the street corner the day or bed. The simple responsibility of dressing respectfully is totally out the window( yes it matters). Kids scrolling hours and hours of content revolving around confusing kids about gender is set by an algorithm ensuring they get more and more of it. Clearly intentional. Society is in a tailspin but most will just it’s overblown.

Social media platforms should be treated like alcohol and tobacco. No elective hormones, puberty blockers, or sex change surgery till after 21. No insurance coverage of any kind for it. All out of pocket.
