guardawg is back supporting another shitty coach
Every guy coaching college ball grasps basic concepts, including the guy you currently have. You think Helfrich doesn't realize he needs to win or he loses his job? Every coach in America knows they need to win or they lose their job. Sometimes there are certain elements that disallow a program from getting there however, injuries, Qb's throwing picks, fumbles in tight games, etc..etc..
Coaches have families, wives, kids with friends, schools, social lives. What coach is going to uproot his family, and not only his family, but he's going to have to hire a plethora of assistants in the same scenario, and they're going to sign this 7 win a year contract because some fans won't accept less? Why would they leave their current situation if it's stable, which it more than likely is if they're good coaches, for some situation that isn't?
Why? Because you guys love Oregon and therefore everybody else does? That's what you're basing the whole concept on.
These guys have real lives, it isn't set up for message board followers to achieve happiness. Just like there is delusion and the inability to grasp basic concepts, there's a real world and a message board world.
Thinking some guy is going to take a job with that requirement in the contract, when he has to come in and build his culture/program/recruit his players, is ridiculous.
But good luck with that.
