I like to nitpick...

I'm old school I guess. I like the Husky Marching band forming a tunnel outside the tunnel and then have them play something like "Turn Loose" as the players run out. (They used to play that song as the opening kickoff sailed through the air).

People forget when the greatest rock music was being recorded, it was marching band only in Husky Stadium.
Rock music in stadiums is an NFL thing. Let the marching band play.

Also the flames coming out of the tunnel are hella gay.

It reminds me of some shitty “art” you might come across at BM.
So grumpy this morning yella, was someone standing in front of you all game this weekend?
I've always been team get off my lawn since I was a little boy.

Agree the intro is way too fucking long and focused on history. Hype up the guys that are actually playing and keep it short and sweet.
It's kind of a cool problem to have that we have several local musicians to debate over for an intro song. I have always wondered how jacked a grunge some from the early-90s gets a team of current college football players though.
I'll opine on the entrance when I show up for Ohio
That said, I do think that putting "history" in as part of the intro is important. Don't forget that you're hosting recruits for these games and part of the story/messaging that you're making to them is that Warshington is historically a very very good program.
There is a right and wrong way to do that though

I remember briefly in college they were selling Hendrix vodka, which was below bottom shelf vodka, but in a cool giant purple bottle. I think it was his brother doing it without permission. A lot of the artists in the 60s time frame need to the Jordan ESPN doc series/Bob Dylan biopic thing to get themselves back in the cultural frame before they disappear for at least a little while again. Hendrix was way ahead of his time and someone who is a critical darling like Frank Ocean's music actually has a lot of similarities. I've moved to thinking Eddie Van Halen is the greatest guitarist of all time though.
Chuck Berry
Hendrix

That's your Mt Rushmore right there. The only debate is who gets the last spot.

Jimmy Page.
Debate over.

They could have literal Sir Mix-a-lot perform “Posse on Broadway” every week. I bet that dude would do it.

I love most things about Seattle but the rap scene around here is straight up cringe.
Way too many acts to choose from to need to resort to that guy.

Most mainstream Seattle rap, such as Macklemore, sucks donkey. But apparently there's been a good underground rap/hip hop scene in the area for quite a while now. I didn't realize it either until fairly recently. And then there's guys like Jake One, who's been around since the early 90s, who's legendary in the hip hop scene.
