I get letters from the IRS

Just letting me know they received and applied the payment I sent in April of 2021, which was made because they sent me a check by mistake in January of 2020 because I supposedly overpaid taxes in December of 2018. Which I didn’t. I think we are square now, maybe I’ll find out in a couple of years.

This was for $750.

Maybe they could use some more help?

I'm still not sure if they ever applied my 2020 payment. I'm not getting letters anymore.

Randomly got like 6k back for no reason I can think of when they said I overpaid.

I expect they'll come hounding me for it at some point like I'm some tax dodger lol. Like whatever dude. What a mess
