In my most humble of opinions rankings are good as a guide to how well a program does. But it is the coaching that makes up how well a kid turns out ... Exhibit A is any big time recruit who has gone to Washington over the last 12 years.
What absolutely shocked me is the fact that Yahoo's ranking service put Oregon at 17 and Washington at 26 over the past 4 years.
