First of all, I don't think they could have made a better hire. he has a proven track record at Boise State. He's widely regarded as one of the best X's and O's guys in the Country. In addition, his track record is that of which I don't think you have to worry about him leaving any time soon if he has success. If they'd hired a different coach and he had success at the level that's expected here, the power houses and NFL would always be sniffing around. I don't see Petersen as a guy who's going to be flirting with every job like Mora. I think he's here for a while

USC and Stanford would have been much better off with a program builder who is doing things the right way like Sark instead of guys like Harbaugh and Carroll who build programs up to BCS level then leave to the NFL.

With Sark you know he's in it for the long haul........oh wait.
