In preparation for a Friday game, Fisch said players had Sunday off instead of Monday. They planned to meet as a team Monday afternoon, Fisch said, to review the Maryland game for the first (and final) time since Saturday, “and then move on” to Rutgers, which had the week off.
“They’re a little bit ahead of us right now,” Fisch said, “so now it’s our time to really focus in, try to catch up and be ready to go for Friday evening at 6 o’clock.”
 
He also said the coaches didn't take a break and that they've been working on tape to catch up. Seemed like pretty standard stuff to me

Now if UW loses it will be one of the worst statements a coach has ever made
 
you’re reaching a little Derek. It was all early week pre game coach speak and it seemed pretty standard. Bye or not UW has a huge advantage with them traveling west. If they lose this game it’s because the whole program fucked the pooch on multiple levels. I think even Judd is introspective enough to know that.

If you take just a couple of quick seconds to think about what Fisch said … he's adjusting the game schedule to match the difference between a Friday and Saturday game
The typical rhythm for a Saturday game is:
Sunday - review the prior game and get some work in the next day
Monday - day off for recovery
Tuesday-Thursday = game week prep
Friday = walk through
Saturday = game
For this week's Friday game …
Sunday - moved day off up from Monday and took the game review and put in at the start of practice on Monday
Monday - Wednesday - game week prep
Thursday = walk through
Friday - game
No offense DJ, but you're better than this.
There are a lot of UW fans at this point that look for the negative in literally every possible situation …
Being critical when warranted is fine …
But it's way out of control at the moment for the fanbase at large
