Huskies crush Oregon, avenging all those losses in football

Except they made Clark political

She could have saved the wnba

I watched her
Wait, Black people can be racist? Next thing you'll tell me is that lesbians can be anti hetero. Can you imagine a double minority being militantly "ist"?

Women's D1 hoops is great! Fuck all you misogynistic pigs!
I hate to disagree with you, but it's the sport where the disparity in basic genetic athleticism is on display the most IMO. It just looks SOOO much slower and less athletic than the men.

In track, they're running. You can't see the "slow" even though you know it's there.

Softball is a different sport and because they've shrunken the field it actually looks fast.

Rowboat, see track comment. You just see a boat going pretty fast.

They don't play football or you'd see it there too.

Soccer, the women's game is arguably better because they don't flop all the time and because the speed of play forces some strategery. You can see the disparity but it's not as glaring or as ugly as it is in hoops.

Tennis - don't know what to do with this one. Women can play tennis and though it's not as fast or powerful as the men's game, it's not ugly to watch.

Women playing basketball make the ball look heavy and they look awkward handling and shooting the rock compared to the men. It's just so not close and they make it seem too hard as to be gangly and lacking in athletic grace. I've always thought this. It's like watching your toddler shuffle around in your shoes. It's cute but it ain't impressive.

Sorry, I know you have skin in this one but just remember she's not playing anymore so it doesn't really matter.

There's a touch of hyperbole in my remark, but at the same time I like to poke fun and rampant misogyny of the HH community.

And yes, I have some skin in the game.

I do think the women's game has some terrific athletes and can be entertaining. Yes, it's not the men's college game, but I'll take it over regular season NBA snooze fest.

Also, I have my tall student athlete fetish and like watching attractive 6 footers battle on the hardwood.

Paige Bueckers is fun to watch.

I do think it is reality that of the sports men and women basically play the same thing basketball is the one that has the biggest difference in the athleticism divide that makes it hard to watch. I bandwagon watched some Caitlin Clark games the first I've watched since the Plum UW teams and it seemed like the women's game has improved there though. To your other point a lot of female athletes have really also improved in recent years in being athletes but still being attractive and not only going the tomboy or lets look like a 12 year old boy look. And it's okay, women talk about men being hot or not in sports all the time.

Easy bro, don't goon too hard here.

If I wanted to trigger @haie I would let him know that my son hooped in size 12 "Sabrinas" this season!

All the youngsters are wearing GURL shoes these days. @RaceBannon word has it Caitlin Clark is about to get her own shoe line.

I’ll admit that I liked watching Iowa when Caitlin Clark was playing, but it’s terrible. It’s mostly dominated by UConn and the season is over before it begins. South Carolina dominated when UConn did not and there are the same 4-5 teams that play for the honor of getting blown out in the championship.

It’s gotten a little bit better over the years. The skill level has definitely improved. The lack of parity hurts it. Men’s hoops has 8-10 teams that could win it all. UConn is winning the women’s and the only thing worth watching is seeing if they go down.

I have rarely enjoyed women's basketball and haven't followed men's basketball now for many years because the game changed. When I was at the Woodinville Weekly I did really enjoy covering the WHS girls team because they were so well-coached by Scott Bullock and Sam Moscatel. They emphasized team basketball and passing the ball to get good shots. Some of my fondest memories as a sportswriter came from those teams. I didn't follow them this season but they just finished 4th at State for like the sixth year in a row (top 4).

I celebrate all wins over Child Labor Community College.

Ping pong, lawn darts, water polo, tetherball..

The sport doesn't matter.

Yes, Sam is Al's brother. Sam played on a Mercer Island team that either won the state title or finished second. I can't remember which.
They were the owners of 13 Coins, and probably still are. He's a great guy.
