How to Resurrect The Dawgs

8-4 with a bowl win to get to 9 keeps a nice upward trajectory. Anything less than that and Judd loses most of the luster he’s managed to generate. If you hit that marker you probably finish ranked with a junior QB coming back and a lot of presumed nice pieces around him. 6-7 to 9-4 to Playoffs. That’s the minimum.
i’d kill myself. Make the playoff or fuck off.
LOL They aren’t making the playoff this year. Hopefully next year. I hope you don’t kill yourself, I like you.

So Jedd's got some positive momentum going with the progrum. Good instate recruiting, limiting portal losses, nice DC hire, potential star QB returning. Here's the deal though…what happens if we go out and go 7-5 in 2025? Can we maintain it?
The semi-realistic ideal goal to me is going 10-2. That keeps you in the important conversations all year and gives you a shot at a B10CG and potential playoff berth.
But how do you get there?
Win one of these
UW likely has two chances for likely signature wins for Jedd Fish in Husky Stadium, the conference opener, and the closer. Preseason Top 5-10 teams roll into Husky Stadium with potential vulnerabilities. You have to find a way to get one of these.
Ohio State
Oregon
Lose only one of these
Splitting these games would be a success, but we're talking goals here. I'll add Illinois is a preseason Top 10 team but I have no idea who good they actually are. I had Maryland in the Needs to be a win category but it's a tough draw going all the way there the week after Ohio State where you need to throw everything you got to get a win.
at Wisconsin
at Michigan
Illinois
at Maryland
Need to Win (no excuses)
Can't afford to and shouldn't lose any of these games. I go back and forth or putting UCLA a rung up, but they should suck. No excuses.
at UCLA
at Washington State
Rutgers
Colorado State
Purdue
UC Davis
(games listed in order of projected difficulty)
Can we? just start with winning the Apple Cup by not calling dumb fuckery plays in key situations? How about not even having any key situations and winning all 4 quarters? I’m probably going this year (not sure how much longer we? continue to play this one) and would appreciate walking out of the stadium without random Coug talking shit and kicking sand in my face.
the Coug sneaky has some players last year, including Mateer. They all either went to the NFL or portal though and anything less than a 2 score win is a red flag no matter how greased the Coug is. The guy who arguably would have been their best returning defensive player now plays for UW

I think there should be more pressure to win this year and less wait till 2026. Outside of Demond they quietly will have to replace a ton of experience and may have to hit the portal hard if they want a big season. They also are on the right side of the home versus away schedule.

I already have nightmares about Maryland. A road battle to possibly avoid starting 0-2 in conference.

If we? lose to the Cuog, fire Fish on the 50.

I had a fucking dream that UW was driving early in the AC and inside the Red Zone when a TE caught a pass at the 6, tried to spin out of a tackle only to take a hit on the chest popping the ball right into the hands of a Coug.

Felt like a replay of last years AC.

Resurrect these guys
I'm watching the 78 Rose Bowl on some odd DTV station called Origin Sports
The best 4 loss team in school history and maybe Pacific coast history
Doug Martin. Bethea. Dave Browning. The D line all played in the NFL. Mayor Harrell. Moon to Gaines. Healthy Joe Steele.
24 zip. Give Bo credit. Michigan adjusted
John Brodie pointed out that Washington threw the ball on 1st and 2nd down 40 times all season. In the Rose Bowl they threw to set up the run.
The Huskies were gassed at the end
Michael Jackson he he

I didn't know Michigan was in contention for the national title had they won that game. Big balls win right there. I think Judd is capable of similar this year in Pastadena.

They were ranked 4th with a loss to Minnesota
Opening drive Michigan moves to the UW 38 and its 4th and 3. Bo Petersen punts. His punter goes to his knee to field the snap. Husky ball at midfield
Curt Gowdy on the call. Later in the game
The Big 10 comes here a big favorite every year and leaves a loser

Yes, but now that we’re in the BIG, we need to be BIG and have lots of BIG bodies in the room to compete in the BIG 10!!!
