Hawks give up too much for Jamal Adams

Big package for sure, but their recent 1st rd track record isn’t great. No chance they get a Jamal Adams caliber talent with either of those firsts.

Agree with DNC that it’s too much, but you are also right considering the draft picks in the past.

Yep that's the silver lining I guess.

I can't believe they gave up that much. McDougald is a good player on a great contract, he has some value here too. And that's a ton in draft value.

Probably makes them contenders this year, at least if they can find any sort of pass rush help.
 
I would assume McDougald salary going out keeps them in the Clowney sweepstakes but I"m not really sure.
 
A lot to give up, but our history of drafting in the 1st round might balance that out. Also Clowney was mediocre in every game except @ SF last season, not stressing over it.

Same. In a playoff game, you’re always happy to have Clowney, but he’s mediocre and/or injured so often that paying him a lot is probably going to end badly.

I think the league realizes this and that’s why he hasn’t gotten the deal he wants.
