Had To Let Someone Go Today

Do people who work in “Big Tech” actually say they work in “Big Tech?”
I ask because I’m in the oil and gas business and nobody I know at the corporate level at Exxon or Chevron says they work in “Big Oil.”
Another masterpiece in thought process by dumb EverettChris. Goodness that man is a fucking moron.

Or at Shell, P66, or Marathon.
Tbf Buck confirms every bad stereotype of Amazon I've ever heard so I believe he does work there. "Romper room".
The thing is that Amazon is the lowest common denominator for "big tech" or FAANG or whatever you want to call it now. It's the place that people land to get to other places because the bar to entry is the lowest and anyone that stays there long term, well... exhibit A it's why he's on here all day.
Imagine Buck trying to found a startup 😂
I’m one of the elite to make it to a FAANG engineering position (dear God doog_bot your arguments are approaching EverettChris level of stupid) and I’ll still be young after my next round of stock vests. Trust me, if I wanted to pursue my own consulting company,it’s there for the taking. I can definately meet the minimum bar of being able to fuck up a Slack integration and blame it on Slack being buggy lmao.
Why do you think no one believes you?

.

Next he'll tell us he's Elon Musk just farting around on a college football chat site.

Nailed this. In the FAANG universe Amazon and Netflix are considered the places where the tards go to work. MUCH easier hiring process, lower bar to entry, less innovative people, etc. META is next up the chain. Sort of where the middling players go. Smart innovative players go to Apple and Google. Google widely considered the toughest to get a job at. That is the exact way the industry is viewed. In short, no surprise that Buck who is here to Fuck landed at Amazon.

Guys….again we’re talking over 300K of total comp for engineer 1’s and 2’s. Those folks are laughing all the way to the bank. I’m not even 35 yet and im sure 99% of you all have never seen that in your entire life. Soak deez nuts on that fact!!!

Jesus 10 pages in and it’s just as fucking gay as it was when it started.
Ha! I like this guy. He just axes shitty workers, too. You’re way off on your deadlines, you’re on your phone all day, fuck off you’re fired and I documented all of it.

Pretty spot on. Google employees don't have to pull out a spreadsheet to explain how in 10 years their compensation will be worth a lot.
