JFC, what a great list of songs…atta boy, Yella!

As I mentioned to @RaceBannon I felt the field for the 70's would trump the 80s or 90s in its vastness. Ergo, it felt necessary to split things out into sub genres.

One Toke Over The Line always reminds me of @UW_Doog_Bot driving out to Burning Man or some other weirdo shit like that in the desert.

Hate it now but it was the biggest hit of the 70s

Man, I fucking hate it. Exhibit A of song ruined by over play. Not Don's fault other that he couldn't write a bunch of other great hates to take the pressure off.

Ditto.

Most of these songs are cringe worthy now but after the limited offerings of the 50's and early 60's [while radio stations were playing legendarily bad tunes such as "purple people eater" and tip toeing through the tulips" ] this kind of sound, as a holdover from previous era's, got massive airplay. For fun, this is a look at the top Billboard tunes in 1958.

Note that "Tequilla" comes in at number 8... here is the video...

I thought Let it Flow was a well engineered album and sounded great on vinyl - I think it was one of the first albums I bought.

Can confirm. I bought it in the used bins a while back for like $3.00. Sounds great.

Well here is the rest of the list that I was trying to remember on the rock pole

Edit: I friggin' hate this song

Yeah as someone who didn’t grow up with it, it’s hard to be force fed something and really appreciate it like I probably should
