They need to kill the rule. They can’t call it even remotely consistently and too often use it to bail out.

They also need to make a big adjustment about protecting QBs. 300 lbs of beef at full steam is what it is. Hands to the face is another one … most pussy call in the world.
Unless the guy has two full strides after, and only after, the ball is completely gone and in the air, I don’t want to hear about it.
And no more hands to the face and contact above the armpit. It’s a contact sport.

That no call in the ASU game was jaw dropping. Contact with the defenders head to the head of the defenseless receiver with enough force to knock the kid out. Yet a different group of refs felt compelled to kick Dixon out of the Pedo game for a hit that appeared legal because it was too hard? Get the fuck outta here. If that Texas hit wasn’t targeting then you’re right, just do away with it all.
 
I just feel dumb at this point because every week im like "thats not targeting!" then it is. Then I'm like oh yeah this one is easy for sure, and it's not.
I can't help but shake the feeling I'm just being punked and they are just making it up as they go lol.

that’s my only point. I’m glad everyone is talking about it. so they’ll drop it. There is head to head contact with the helmet on every fucking play. It’s ridiculous. Every play.
They don’t know what the fuck it is. So they just make it up when there is a hard hit out in space and the crowd goes “oooohhhh”. They may as well call it the “you hit him too hard and we’re nervous amd mad now” penalty.
 
I thought they were going to overturn the fourth quarter ASU pick as well. This crew swallowed their targeting whistles today. Without that interception ASU doesn’t get the quick change TD to tie the game. They need AI to determine this penalty. Program the parameters of the “rule” into the computer and let a soulless entity make the call. It’s too subjective otherwise.
 
I don't think the soulless entity felt the emotion of the game lamented Steve Sarkisian
