I want my MTV
I have watched more MTV the last three years than I have in the past 22 years or so. Metal Mayhem, I Want My 80's, and 120 Minutes are great shows that do take me back. What I do find myself doing is seeing where are the artists now if they weren't already famous and when the song was released.
I am no TV exec, but if they could bring back an MTV channel that just has reruns of great TV shows that many say ruined MTV, things could be different. Shows like Liquid Television, The State, The Real World, The Jenny McCarthy Show. They have plenty of content, but I am guessing there are licensing deals that put the kibosh on all of it. There are channels out there that practically air Law&Order reruns and people watch that still. Wondering if it could work the same.
