One of the better articles/post I've seen around here lately.

For those that think that there were too many "war references" included in the article, I disagree. One thing you see in reading/observing military history is that the outcomes are rarely by chance. Instead, it's about meticulous attention to details, formulating a good game plan, being able to make the right adjustments when needed, and perhaps most importantly of all, the soldiers having complete and absolute trust in their commander.

How much of the above applies to a football coach?

How much of the above in just 5 games have we seen that Petersen excels in?

YBE. I laughed, I cried, I came all over my sweatpants.

Small details, well executed, build success.

I agree with Tequilla (oh shit), one of the better articles. Does Sun Tzu poast here?

Are you also suggesting an Air Raid passing attack to control the skies?

Best thing to do in war is to: never fight the last war.
Innovate.
There are rules in football. There are no rules in war.

Contraire Sir. In my opinion as an American sometimes too many. The ROE was God often at the safety of American Soldiers.

@priapism agree with the first part of your poast. Innovating is something we finally became good at during and poast Reagan.

The fake punts need more innovation.

But I do like the tendency for Petersen to do 2-3 trick plays a game, I would do a bunch if I were HC. Get the opponent into a rhythm, then trick.
