Me thinks Kaufusi's seat will be warm if he doesn't get the DT from Colorado. Does he have the personality of a doorstop?

If we get the Colorado kid + the Karate kid from Tacoma and have Coleman_Brusa does that clear the bar that is now sitting firmly on the ground?

no. That’d mean the DL coach and edge coach (different guys?) each bagged one of their top targets. That’s a horrible closing percentage.

Hopefully our new DC will find an excellent DL coach/recruiter. Fingers crossed and maybe Malloe will slug a duck player when they come to town.

Edge really worries me. We have Karate Kid part one from last year and Devin Hyde. Hyde doesn’t look fat or out of shape but he’s 6’5” 265 as an 18 year old. I feel like 305 is as likely a future as staying around as 275 or 280 for him. I also feel like there’s been smoke that DCB may also slide inside. He’s 6’5” 275 at 17. His brother is a pretty big dude, an explosive 310lbs future doesn’t seem all that far away. If they get Uma-Cais and Karate Kid part two I’ll feel better about the interior depth moving forward especially if Hyde and DCB outgrow the edge. That said where will the heat come from? Roman hints that it might come from ZRS. I hope not. I want a thumper at LB.

They are getting the big edge guys but not landing any OLB situational pass rusher types. Probably a bad sign. Brusa is the only one that had any legit competition for his commitment.
