Stanford has always had at least some really good players because you can't blame a kid for taking a Stanford offer but rarely have they had everything you need hence they have not been a consistent power since the 1920's. Cal and Stanford view football success with horror and alarm. Ty winning multiple Rose Bowls there was quite unique
