Fisch

Fisch the CEO has done a good job over his 2 years in the program … no issues with recruiting, his ability to work businesses/NIL, and high-end day to day program management
Fisch the HC is a complete mixed bag …
On the plus side I see a team that consistently plays hard and competes … so I can't argue with that and that's actually a big positive
But we're approaching a tipping point of a distracted HC/play caller that is impacting game day execution and administration; the inability after 2 years to "play up" is a concerning trend that requires proof next year; the road performances are still very much uneven
There's also an emerging QB issue with an underwhelming season from Demond that needs to be addressed in the offseason or we're looking at a Jake Locker scenario … although Locker did have a couple of decent wins on his resume
Year 3 isn't an easy schedule at all …
You could talk yourself into 10-2 as easily as you could 7-5 …
I'd tell you that 7-5 would have me heavily considering firing the HC if I was the AD
Should be an offseason with a lot of urgency IMO

7-5 would kill the progrum and awaken the elder posters from the before times

Desperately needs a fresh OC from outside his system that will takeover playcalling.
If he's too arrogant to see that he won't win anything, whoever he's coaching.

I was listening to an interview of Urban Meyer and he spoke about why he gave up playing: Because he needed to be in the defensive meeting, special teams meetings just as much as the offensive meetings. This is the part Fisch is too hard headed to get. As his former OC, this is something Urbs spoke to his friend Ryan Day about and he’s on his way to his 2nd straight natty.
*definitely not comparing Jed to Day, don’t twist. Fisch needs to grow the fuck up and focus on being the Head Coach especially if it’s true he’s signing an extension. He needs to find an OC the caliber of Ryan Walter’s and replace the OC in name only and fire him as the quarterback coach. As Meyer was saying previously, Jed’s too busy calling bad plays when he should be involved with his defensive and special team players on the sideline occupying rather than in his call sheet.

I like how guys just make shit up because Fisch actually really does suck as a coach
He's a great CEO
Yeah and who fucking cares?
Fire his ass today. You're going to anyway. First rule of business is when you know someone needs to be whacked you don't wait

We are two wins and better playcalling from me agreeing with you. Wisconsin and we needed to win just one of the three toughest games on the schedule.
Oh and I needed to see improvement in Demond… not seeing that either.

if he was a great CEO he’d already have a great play caller.
He’s not great at anything, except bullshitting the masses at UW

7-5 has you “heavily considering?”

Great CEO’s would want to delegate. Instead we have Jimmy Dougherty who hasn’t advanced past qb coach in 15 years.

It’s so laughable.

1 - He can flat out recruit (whatever that means in 2025). That is like the #1 thing. Notch that at the top of the "pro" column.
2 - He is a good CEO for the program; I really believe that. Besides recruiting well, he hired Walters and seems to have a good donor and upper campus relationship. Notch that in the "pro" column.
3 - He shouldn't be calling plays. Put that at the top of the "con" in bold and italics. Give himself veto power over the OC perhaps, but he's not that good at it. He is good when we crush teams, but that is like me being Mike Tyson's ringside coach against Tommy Gun. RUN FUCKING MOHAMED 30 FUCKING TIMES HE WAS GASHING.
If he gets an extension with good money, one of the clauses needs to be to hire an OC who calls plays.

Always fun to read that extensions come with clauses that the coach needs to be less involved in what he’s supposedly a genius at.

This is where I’m at. Next year is the year. He will get it done or he won’t. If he doesn’t, he’s not the guy. Three years is fair.

I'd do it on the tarmac SeaTac even though it was a home game.
