Fish is more of a proven commodity at this point.
Grub is a gamble with potentially more upside but his failings are also well known around here.
Both would have/did fail to keep the band together for immediate continuity which was a major selling point for both.

Grubb has no track record as HC and is a recruiting unknown. Jedd has proven success in both areas plus the NFL rolodex. He's a great fit for UW at this point. Track record and a plan. My trust level is high.

Not if they weren’t a successful HC somewhere. I’d rather take my chances on an up and coming first time HC than someone who is great at 8-5 seasons.
In the Fisch vs. Grubb scenario, I’d go with Fisch. He’s shown an ability to win at a shitty football program. Grubb still has a lot to prove he’s really up and coming.

The McKeefery interview this morning imo confirms what has been talked about that the roster had an overwhelming amount of leadership built in from all the covid/4-8 shit that they been through.
DeBoer's 3 years as a HC of a G5/P5 he never had to build anything up himself, just put some good assistants in place and implement his offense.
I was right: the Oregon State game was a game that even the staff had circled as being tough if you were able to beat SC and Utah back to back.
Really disappointed that the NCG wasn't asked about, just what the coaches thought about it or what may have gone wrong. Then again he really only wanted to talk about s+g.

That's what I really liked about the Deboer hire. He started out winning natty's in the NAIA. They don't have money there. For him to win like that with so little is really impressive, let alone what happened in FBS later.
