Pete is effective at communicating to the media the importance of preparing for each opponent the same way.

Apparently he is just not effective at communicating that to his team.
 
That's just how players explain getting beat by inferior opponents. Standard losing player speak. He probably said they also need to execute better somewhere in the interview as well. They said the same shit after ASU last year. Fact of the matter is the talent gap is not as great as it was in 2016. The O is not as good without a burner and without Tedford, thus terrible road loses at ASU and now Cal. O needs to simplify and get more dependent on a physical run game. Pete wants to take games into 4th quarter and rely on a bend but don't break D with a finesse O? Doesn't add up.

They fucking lost to Cal and some guy named gerbels. The team was lifeless and lazy. Dropped balls, shit passes, shit blocking, worthless play calling. Ahmed had 8 fucking carries. Kept running horizontal when it was clear Cal was ready for it over and over again. The whole thing was a circus. Fuck that loss. 2018 is a year to forget. Lousy conference, the coug actually getting playoff talk. We only have a few more years to go for that special season. Maybe Samek can come back from the dead and predict an undefeated season to make it even specialer.
 
Huskies will beat Stanford and Oregon State, then lose to WSU. End up playing Texas Tech in the Alamo Bowl.
 
I haven't heard much from some of those guys who were demanding Haener replace Browning! He sure stunk up the place. Jesus, if he'd just have fallen on the ball instead of passing the Huskys may have won...

There isn't much to say after that brief debacle. But I would actually start Haener against Stanford.
