"Fewest Yards Penalized Per Game"

I wanted to look at the issue of whether Sark's teams really do "lack discipline" as is
often stated on various boards, etc. I looked at two sources for stats and starting with the
last two years of TW and then Sark it would appear there is an undeniable trend toward
increased penalties. I understand this is just one problem area and that someone else can
take these figures much further than I'm interested in doing myself. Have at it! :)

Washington's ranking for "Teams with Fewest Penalty Yards per Game". . .

According to the NCAA website and cfbstats.com out of 120+ D-1 teams Washington has ranked:

TW:

2007---29th
2008---17th

Sark:

2009---87th
2010---80th
2011---89th
2012---100th
2013---123rd (to date)

This is not good.

This is not good.

Excuse: "But, but, but it just means that Sark's teams are getting more aggressive!"
Excuse: "Now we know why we are losing so much! The refs are screwing us!"
Excuse: "We're still young."
Excuse: "But that's pretty impressive to be ranked 123rd and still have 6 wins!"

There's a start. Carry on.

No way dude... Fetters sez that the penalties have been fixed and that the UCLA game was just an aberration.
