What kind of moron calls a pass on first down in the redzone in that situation? Especially when you've been successful running it the entire drive?

They had run it between the tackles the whole drive down Clemson's gullet. Call that play three times, get to the 5, and make it nothing more than an extra point.
 
Still somewhat of a bad mark against Clemson in needing a missed 35 yard FG at home to win the game.
 
But the Arizona game was on the road and Arizona didn't have a 87.2% win probability with 2 seconds left.

This was Clemsons Arizona game. They will be fine.
