Part of this whole plot doesn't make sense to me.
Are the doing this to force his hand to run because they feel he is easier to defeat than alternatives?
They probably aren't that smart. As much as I like Trump, I don't think he is the most electable. I'm not sure who is the most electable at this point, honestly but am pretty convinced Trump is not at the top of that list.

The thing is, this needs to be a landslide win over biden. Anything close and the opportunity to game the system is there. Trump cannot win in a landslide. Simply can't.
Less than zero chance Biden runs and gets through the primaries

Trump would be a landslide. Trump Desantis would be a really big fucking landslide. This is the very reason they have targeted Trump since 2016 with illegal wire taps, surveillance, false accusations of crimes and causeless investigations.

So ask yourself this? Do they know they can’t pull off another 2020? Me thinks so.
I’m good with Trump or DeSantis. Both will be savaged. Trump far more. But the Right in this country is prepared to see it through no matter how rough things get for either of them.
Their enemies know this.
