Eugene Register-Guard: No one guessed Ducks would have been this awful

No one guessed the Ducks would have been this awful?

Pretty sure it was

Wilner:

Imagine an alternate universe, where it is now Dec. 17 and Oregon has decided to conduct a thorough coaching search …

Where taking the time to get it right is more important than salvaging a recruiting class or pacifying 70-odd signers of a petition …

Where Cristobal is the interim head coach and, of course, a candidate for the permanent job if his audition in Las Vegas goes well …

Where Boise State coach Bryan Harsin is a potential candidate …

In that alternate universe, the Ducks have a difficult decision to make.

Ultimately the problem is their decision is not their's alone to make.

It truly appeared to be a physical mismatch with the Broncos, who were looking like the Washington Huskies.

@Mosster47 's maulers got severely mauled .... again.

If Freeman doesn’t want to play, fine. But why in the world is a player who willingly removed himself from the team then rallying the team?

When Christian McCaffrey opted out of Stanford’s bowl game to focus on draft preparation (i.e., avoid injury), he did not accompany the Cardinal to the Sun Bowl.

He was done playing, so he was done participating.

I realize the Oregon players supported Freeman’s presence on the sideline, but the head coach has to save the players from themselves — Cristobal should have stepped in and told Freeman to stay away.[/i]

clearly not a molder of young men.

The ducks were crystalballed by player petition. In duckland, the molders are the "young men".
