Essential post 2010 rock and roll albums thread

This is a thread of mostly garage band, KEXP indie stuff. And we wonder why rock is dead right now?

True. I was going to post some more of the alt country side of things when I have a sec.

The music bidness so fragmented these days that whatever gets put out is gonna be "indie-ish" by default because there's no shared experience. Our parents (and those of us north of 35) all listened to the same bands. We don't do this anymore.

Death of radio plays a role in that. You used tog TE your songs picked for you. Now you find what you like and create play lists. Obviously songs on radio still have power, but not nearly as much.

King Kahn and the Shrines 2008 album was fucking awesome. Yes, garage rock retro, but the groove and horns were terrific. Plus the showmanship...

The Alabama Shakes debut album was from 2012 and very good. Much more @SECDAWG Muscle Shoals than garage rock revival.

Honestly say, don’t care too much about “rock and roll” post 2010. Really past 2000.

I’m pretty much in @LebamDawg camp.

And anyone have a son or miss your dad, as I do...Listen. Good stuff.

I cry like a little bitch every time this one cycles around on my iTunes.

Yes sir. Hits home, many ways. Many. Awesome tune.

Now I’m through fagging up @RoadDawg55 ”post 2010” R and R thread.

Someone else can start a “better than 2010 rock and roll country music ‘rock’ because it beats the brakes off current rock and roll” thread and I will contribute..
