With Peyton's little brother announcing that he's going to announce his retirement tomorrow, the question that comes up is whether or not Eli had a career worthy of the Hall of Fame.

He's 2-0 in the Super Bowl. Among the 11 others to win multiple SBs, only Jim Plunkett isn't in (Brady's a shoo-in and Roethlisberger has better than an 81% chance).

He's ranked in the top 10 for TD passes, completions and attempts but has also thrown the 12th highest number of picks and his career QB rating is 45th.

No Eli

I think he gets in but I don’t necessarily think he’s good enough to get in. He’s got top 10 numbers because he’s been just good enough to have a long fucking career but he’s not a QB that you’re killing people for to have him on your team.

Nobody ever said "man I wish our team had Eli Manning" or "fuck how are we going to stop Eli Manning?"

GTFO.

Yes he's a Hall of Famer because he's a Manning and did just enough to be above average while keeping a clean image off the field.

Does he deserve to a Hall of Famer? Hell no! But if Joe Namath is in the hall it's hard to justify almost any competent QB not making it. Namath had 173 career Tds and 220 picks. Today, that ratio doesn't get you past year two.

Being Peyton's little brother, while being competent, gets him in on the 3rd or 4th try.
