Mr James,

Thank you sir, for your service to Washington.

May you rest in peace wherever you are.

Someday, again, we hope to field a team worthy of you and your memory.

 
I was 4 years old when we won the NC. Nothing but respect for what he did. I hope he didnt suffer much during his short battle with cancer. RIP coach.
 
My first ever so vague Husky memory was of the 85 Orange Bowl. I had just turned 4 years old.

Growing up Husky in the Don James era was almost unfair. You expected to win, it hurt like hell when you didn't, and you knew that no matter what Coach always had a plan.

There will never be another like him.

RIP, coach. I do believe in the afterlife, and I believe yours is going to be spectacular.
