Reading YT comments on a video about Maher comparing Islam to other religions is hilarious. You have people saying he is wrong because "The Old Testament says to kill anyone that isn't Christian" or "I know someone is who Muslim and he/she is the nicest person I know and would never hurt a fly"
People are so fucking stupid.
Maher is 100% right. And, yes, most muslims aren't going to kill anyone for not believing in Islam, but there is a significant percentage that think it's ok. In fact, a Pew poll had the percentage at 13% off all Muslims and 26% of those between 18 and 29 years old as saying that at least sometimes suicide bombing of civilian targets to defend Islam is justified. And these are muslims in America, The numbers are much higher in Muslim countries. Even pegging the 13% number to Muslim countries. That means over 200 million of the 1.6 million Muslims think this is OK. 200 fucking million. And this is just suicide bombing. There is a much higher percentage that think that they way women are treated in Islam is just fine, that capital punishment for gays is great. And a whole bunch of other stuff that normal people would think is simply barbaric.
Anyway...fuck Berkeley for defending that piece of shit culture.
