"Yeah, it's both my and Stephanie's fault. We know we had a good marriage plan and we thought we had been working at it hard in counseling every week. But for whatever reason Stephanie failed to execute the plan. We will watch the film and get better.

"Quite honestly I was always faithful to my wife. I think that she just didn't feel the emotion of a drinking night at Joey's and threw a divorce where it wasn't merited"

In an act of exuberance rarely seen in such proceedings, Steve Sarkisian led the courtroom in a chant of "Fight! On!" at conclusion of his divorce hearing yesterday at the LA County Courthouse. -- LA Times, January 16, 2016

"Sure, it's important to be married clean, I get that. At the same time, I've got to stay aggressive out there. We can't take away my stinger."

"we just have to get a few things cleaned up...we'll be fine; we just need to trust each other"

"I thought that Steph and I had reached the point where our marriage was like house money"

Leaving the courtroom in the same car to go back home together led to speculation the separation was perhaps mending. When asked why he lingered in his former home, Sarkisian simply responded "Free Pub".

To tell you the truth Stephanie was out stemming and that's just something I needed to get used to.

"She's a good wife.I thought our marriage was hard, I thought we fought, I thought we showed a lot of resolve during the third year and battling back. We just unfortunately had a hard time containing Song Girls and bar sluts. They threw themselves at me extremely well and when Stephanie couldn't cover it up anymore, she ran. I tried to catch her. We tried to stop it, I tried to cut back, Stephanie tried to contain me, but have you seen a drunken song girl? Stephanie's a hell of a wife, and you have to give her a lot of credit, we were a really good team. It’s unfortunate, but there were a couple of missed opportunities there. When we had to become one-dimensional later in the marriage, it made it easier on them. They rushed me in the ally and got some good one-on-one match-ups inside. We were at our best when we were able to run around behind her back. But ultimately when we got one-dimensional she found us. That’s a good wife I lost. It’s been two back-to-back weeks of heavy drinking and I think our kids have showed a great deal of understanding. I think they’ve shown great resolve. We played with the idea of an open marriage and we played with the idea of therapy. Unfortunately we just couldn’t get it done against the really good tail, but that doesn’t take away from Stephanie. We were a good team and we both need to get back on the horse and we need to start preparing for more coeds."

"You recruit your waitresses wives starting at a young age. You work hard to build that trust. You tell them you will be here for them their entire four or five years here and hopefully continue a relationship after.

I practiced faithfulness well all week. I really thought the work I put in through the week would really shine at Joey's tonight. I'm better than this. My waitress and I are better than this. It's back to the drawing board. I'll get this figured out before next Saturday.
