While we were handling important matters like renaming the Gulf of Mexico, China just launched the Tech equivalent of Sputnik in DeepSeek!!! This is bad…this is on Trumps watch! I hope Project 2025 has a way to deal with this!!!!

Dumbass that doesn't understand AI, economics, global markets, politics, or geography weighs in on all of them

Thanks Swoop! I was waiting for Sources to chime in on the impact, but he definitely doesn’t know so once again, I’ll do the thinking for this board
Here’s why you should care:
Market Disruption: DeepSeek's AI models, particularly the R1 model, have outperformed some of OpenAI's leading models. This has caused a significant drop in U.S. tech stocks as investors reassess the competitive landscape
National Security Concerns: The rapid advancement of DeepSeek's AI technology has raised alarms in Washington, with fears that it could give China an edge in military applications.
Economic Implications: DeepSeek's models are significantly cheaper to develop and use, challenging the assumption that cutting edge AI requires massive financial investment. This has led to concerns about the effectiveness of U.S. export controls on advanced technologies
Technological Innovation: DeepSeek's success has sparked a debate about the strategic limits of U.S. sanctions and whether they might inadvertently accelerate innovation in China.

Hope we have some educated people that can counter China’s advance but I think we’re more focused on burning books.

Posting the work of someone/something else without attributing the source isn’t you “thinking,” Spaz.
It’s called plagiarism. Your heroes Biden and Kamala practiced it, too, so you three lunkheads have that in common.

I didn’t post a source because I wrote the post with my own analysis. I don’t know what’s so surprising, I’ve been writing them for a full year on this board. (See NVDA thread for an example)

All of Chinas work was done to achieve this during the Biden presidency. So we are in agreement it appears, Biden has failed us, again.

Hmmm what’s today? 1/27? I believe Biden’s term expired last week bro. This is a Trump issue. I hope he planned for it with Project 2025.

Not sending their best
Their “best” are people like Maher coming to understand that the extreme Democrat cultists like H live in a world of mis- and disinformation.
So, we’re left with the stupid ones like H, and the insane ones like SpazzyBuck, who currently seems to be arguing with himself in another thread while posting an AI post and claiming he wrote it himself.
Fucking weird guys.
