I watched some video from spring ball and was impressed that everyone was involved and active. Real coaches do that. Ty always had half the team standing and watching. Saw some Trojan practice in the LA times. Half the team was standing and watching

hmmm, sounds vaguely similar to our special teams the last five years.

One of the first signs of progress will be not having Oregon return every kickoff 60-70 yards.

If you can't see that Van Winkel's injury explained a lot then I can't help you.

Are you saying Petersen is half Ty then?

If you can't see it's easier to recruit to Boise than Seattle than I can't help you.

If you can't see that losing a game by 3 where you outgain your opponent 489 to 279 and are even in the turnover battle is the fault of the kicker, then I don't know what to tell you.

Standing around and watching is way underrated. If you hope to have a post football career in construction it's an invaluable skill.

I really like how Petersen never compliments the players too heavily. Sark frequently called Price, ASJ, Kasen, Ta'Amu, etc great players and I think it made them a little complacent. Petersen talks about details and getting better almost every time he speaks about the players.

I loved that Petersen called King out on the sideline the other day to make sure that he was aware of what was going on ... and equally impressed that he responded by giving the right answer. It's all about expectations.

If some of you are at the practices, could you give us a writeup on what you see and whether it looks like the kids are being coached up and learning the details? I like the videos but since i'm unable to be there, would appreciate your input.
