Dana Holgorsen: Time for FBS programs to stop playing FCS teams

The non conference schedules have played a huge role in the demise of college football. Good for Holgerson. The power five teams should be allowed one non conference game against a non Power 5 opponent.

Why wouldn't the goal be to make college football as entertaining as possible? More marquee games would equal bigger crowds, more hype, better TV ratings... I don't understand the logic and why the NCAA or whoever is powerless to do anything about it.

That fuck should have clued his mentor in on that bit of wisdom.

unfortunately, nobody will schedule anything different until it literally hurts them badly in the polls... 40 years of fat journalists ranking any win over a close loss to a top team + 40 years of coaches ranking teams in games they don't even fucking watch. I see more likelihood that Pac12 Network gets the Fiesta Bowl.

You need to learn how the government works. You see, they own all your money, they just let you keep what they want.

He actually didn't say that at all. ESPN took a small part of his press conference and made it into that.

He said that he wants every team to have the same schedule and he understands how important "pay day" games are for FCS teams.

I would just like it to eventually get to ~60 teams in 5 conferences. The NCAA has a schedule maker for those teams and each team still gets to play an FCS team to help them out. All teams have to play 9 conference games too.
