Cousin in New Braunsfels says the rain/flooding is incredible. Once in 50 years kind of event. They got the warning and flew up to Austin for the weekend. Talking to their neighbors sounds like they dodged a bullet at their residence but not sure about their lake house on Canyon. Many not nearly so lucky.

What amazes me is that it was 100% poor planning and failed policy that contributed to the loss of life from wild fires in Maui and Los Angeles. It was 100% a failure in response that delayed aid to people in western NC. Not a peep about it from CNN or MSNBC. Hey I get it….it was an election year and they didn’t want to hurt Biden/Harris with negative press.
Here we have a 12hr alert issued by the NWS that flooding is imminent and you have the MSM trying to frame the incredibly sad loss of life as a result of Trump’s NOAA funding cuts(which are for FY2026 and don’t even take place until this October), completely ignoring the fact that the NWS did its job.
Remember it was Obama who famously said never let a tragedy go to waste. There are enough fucking peon shitbirds out there like @HuskyBuck to slurp up the slop.
