My favorite Joe Kapp story from when he was head coach at Cal when UW never lost to Cal

UW rings up a 50-7 win at home. James is asked his thoughts. Pissed at a late Cal TD to lose the shut out, James replies, "Our third string defense needs some work"

Kapp was also on the sidelines for The Play against Stanford

Family from Wisconsin (dumb Swedes settled in the coldest spot they could find)- I was taught to hate the Vikings but Kapp was good

Don James said that Kapp refused to shake his hand after the game. The only time that had happened in James' career, if I remember right
