The Nichols story even goes as far as comparing what happened to him with what happened to Emmett Till and a lynch mob. Not until the 7th paragraph do they inform the reader that the police officer we "also black."

If you listened to news breaks about the teen shooting you knew immediately the homeowners was an elderly white man and the kid was black. I heard multiple news breaks yesterday regarding the Memphis case and not once did they mention the officers were Black.

They mentioned Ben Crump is representing the family and if you know him, you know the victim was Black. Why leave out the color of the cops? It's a mystery.

The prosecutor is hinting that there is something racial in nature about the shooting of the kid but so far they've not released anything. He's trying to placate the mob.
