College basketball is ridiculously over officiated

Every time the offensive player is bumped it's a foul. Sometimes the refs get so used to calling fouls they automatically whistle something completely clean. At times It has jist become a free throw shooting contest which keeps the inferior team in the game longer.

Basketball in general is. Michael Jordan said it best awhile back:

"If I played basketball today I could average 100 points a game because I would just get to the line every time"

I also hate the use of the replay at times.

In the New Mexico - Stanford game, the ball that went off of Kirk at the end of the game rebound was right in that in the sense that it was off Kirk, but the reason it was off of him was because he was fouled. I understand swallowing the whistle and not giving free throws in that situation. But don't compound the situation by reviewing the situation and fucking over the guy that got fouled without allowing the refs the ability to go assess a foul in such a circumstance.

Common sense officiating isn't a bad thing.

College basketball officiating makes the NBA seem great. But I'd also blame the coaching. Teach your players to play without mugging the other team and you won't get called for all these fouls.

Romar defenders disagree

Depends on if the refs actually called fouls on him defensively or not.

Yes, I'm still bitter about the protection he got in the 96 Finals.

Supersook for life!
