This is hilarious. I was always shocked how little football a lot of the guys on my high school team watched or knew about. I think a lot couldn't name a single coach, including Pete Carroll had he not been in Seattle. I think a lot of players actually don't watch much football casually.

I think fucking kids gets you arrested in most states, except maybe AK.
You do spend a lot of time just doing your team's shit: lifting, practices etc. Then during the year you have class work on top of that.
