Last night they said Alvarez was willing to step up.

900k a year goes a lot further in Wisconsin than it does in LA.

Madison Wisconsin has a shockingly low cost of living for being an awesome place to live. I know that is in-line with what you just said but some of the best years of my life were spent in Madison. Great town.

Aranda and family are from LA. UCLA almost hired him last year. And I don't think SC will get outbid by Wisconsin.

Could be that he knows how big a cluster the AD Situation is there and doesn't want to get involved.

I forgot how well All Star coaching staffs typically do. The one with Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgeron did great at USC.

These assistants hardly matter. Anyone can recruit to USC and you never know, they might be decent coaches. The only really important hire for USC is the DC. It's not going to matter though. It's likely not going to end well because Helton is probably in over his head.

Some of you come of as homers (Tequilla) when you mock a team for hiring coaches from WKU but are pleased with the hiring of a grad assistant and a coach from Utah State.

If I was an SC fan I would be very worried with what I saw last night.

I would be even more worried if I picked up the paper and read Helton just put his fucking brother on payroll.

Sure the guy has OC experience, but ... the question lingers ... did Helton do his due diligence ...
