Should the rest of conference forfeit to preserve their chances?
Who is this written for? My mom has a vague understanding of college football. Perhaps they thought white suburban women in their mid to late 60s needed to understand how the playoff works.
College football is done from a regional parity perspective. The only chance a west coast team has to win is if they are on the cutting edge of the next revolutionary offense like Chip Kelly at Oregon. Ohio State, Oklahoma, maybe Penn State or Michigan might have a chance without a gimmick, but they’d need some lucky bounces against an SEC champ or Clemson with a QB.
I want to be a fan with standards and expectations of competing for championships but frankly conference championships and the hope of beating a Big 10 runner up in a Rose Bowl that only two fan bases care about might be the new ceiling.
How much bleach do I have to drink to make it stop?
