Caesar Rayford plays in his first NFL game tomorrow night

He sacked Jeff Tuel which forced a fumble and was returned for a TD.

Good start for Rayford!

Ty needed more bullets.

Rayford was another guy in a long list of guys who had the talent but wasn't properly coached. I remember after the 2006 AC thinking he'd have a huge year then in 2007 he hardly played.

Chris Stevens was another guy from that era who was like that too. Whenever he played he made a big play yet for whatever reason rarely played.

Didn't he block a FG or extra point to win a game during Tys magical 3-1 start?

Fresno State. He told me (in Bow Down to Willingham) that he hoped that play would earn him a chance to play more. But it didn't happen.

It was a magical 4-1 start. I remember the national media at that point was shitting on ND for firing Ty "too soon".

I thought it was UCLA? In any event, both Rayford and Gunheim were wasted under Ty. Both of those guys would have been good players if they had better coaching/development.

It was Fresno State. UCLA they had a big comeback capped by Dan Howell having a pick six a week after he lost his father.
