If Petersen wants to coach in a big conference, then UW makes more sense than SC and Oregon since UW not as serious about football (allegedly since SC hired Sark). He could coast here and should be able to do much better than Sark. Hell, he might even truly succeed at UW.

UW is less risky for Petersen than probably anywhere else in PAC 12.

We are a top of the line MWC team and a middling PAC 12 team. Smooth transition for what Pete has always been used to. Vegas Bowls mixed in with the occasional higher level bowl.
