They had Alize Jones, another 5* TE committed forever, and then ND stole him late when they offered his shitty best friend. Clark backed away from Michigan when Hoke imploded and UCLA stole him late. Probably didn't do a lot of character diligence.
Probably helps their case with Asiasi, who won't be a TE, but still...
