Original series provided effectively no protection from omicron. Boosters provided moderate but not great protection on a short term basis. I'm guessing it falls off even further after the measured 9 weeks.

Fortunately, Omicron was much less severe than delta, but because there were so many more cases (more infectious and the vaccine was much less effective) the death totals were often higher.
Basically just confirming what we all already assumed/were seeing in real time.
