I thank the bored's intelligencia for their services.

A must read...especially for the Squad. People that have no historical context say stoopid stuff.

And the 2 best books ever written about WWII rather easily...

The Sleepwalkers

Too many "Why did WWI happen" books really miss the fucking poont; Clark talks about how the Balkan Wars flipped the client state structure in the Balkans and set the stage

Conrad was a first class SOB

Came across great grandpappy's ceremonial M1861 officer's sabre while rooting through storage last week looking for rafting equipment for our upcoming trip to Yosemite

Based on your list of recent reads I have nothing to think you will be interested in this, but I read it about a year ago and enjoyed it.

Conrad is making a come back. My sister’s son is a Conrad and there are 2 in our preschool.

Imagine going to Yosemite in the summer. You’re nuts bruh.

Have you explored the Derek Johnson canon?

I heard that the best of the collection sold out and was out of print.

True for the hardcovers, but there's always the cherished eBook.

Awhile back I saw someone selling a signed copy of Husky Football in the Don James Era for $300 on eBay. Kind of odd.

You can’t ask a vinyl guy to buy an eBook?!!

Nonfiction?

For very reality based fiction with a heavy dose of Chinese history and culture that I found fascinating, the first book in my new favorite trilogy (and great on its own):
